The Morse Museum houses the world’s largest collection of works by Louis Comfort Tiffany who lived from 1848–1933. Included in this collection is the artist and designer’s jewelry, pottery, paintings, art glass, leaded-glass lamps and windows. It is a beautiful collection of art from this world renowned artist best known for his work with glass. I have always been a admirer of stained glass and you can see some of the finest works here at the Morse Museum. The museum also contains Tiffany’s chapel interior from the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago. The time and effort spent to create this masterpiece is astonishing. The work, including the baptistry, takes up 1,082 square feet. Most of the works here are close to if not over 100 years old.

The museum is rather large for it’s kind and will take you a good 2-4 hours of time to view everything depending on how you pace yourself. There is plenty to see including a movie room with information about Tiffany and the museum itself. General admission is only 6$ and only 1$ for students. This is really nice considering how expensive some things are to see that do not even come close to measuring up to the things here.

The area of Winter Park is worth making this trip alone. It is just a beautiful peaceable place to walk and enjoy and do shopping. There’s a nearby park to take a rest right in the middle of town as well but the Morse museum is a must see for any visitor to the area.
