Another local hotspot, Chula’s offers great Mexican Food at good prices. Usually I get the combination Steak and Chicken Fajitas here and they do it right with flavorful tender meat and the right amount of peppers and Onions. The portion size is good as well and you can make around four well filled Fajitas with the food you get. A side of salad, refried beans, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and rice come on the side as a nice compliment to the fajitas. It also comes out of the kitchen sizzling hot which always wets my appetite. On our last visit we asked for their specialty and Quennie got it. She is a little more willing then I am to try new foods. It was the Molcajetes, which also arrived sizzling in a traditional lava rock Molcajete. My wife really enjoyed this dish as well. It really looks wonderful and once again the portion sizes are very good. So if you never heard of a Molcajete like me, it is grilled steak, chicken, chorizo, potatoes, chile rajas, and Salsa roja mixed inside a tortilla covered with sour cream, pico de gallo and melted Mexican cheese. I did taste most of it and while I prefer the fajitas, this was very good.

The thing I really love about this restaurant is the atmosphere. It is beautifully decorated in a Mexican motif and the carved and painted wood chairs and tables are a sight to behold. An unbelievable amount of work went into making these and if I am not mistaken every one of them is unique. They have a full bar here as well which is also nicely decorated as well The next time you are in the area and in the mood to try some traditional Mexican dishes try this place out.
