St. Pete Pier, St. Petersburg

All we can say is WOW! We now understand why the new pier is the number one place to go in St. Petersburg. The views are amazing especially from the bar and grill Pier Teaki on the roof at the end of the pier. It’s a nice place to spend some time with a view of the skyscrapers in the city and surrounding by the Bay. Watching the small airplanes flying low overhead as they touchdown at the nearby airport makes the view even more special. We had lunch there, just a couple of burgers and they were really good.

On the way down from the roof we ran into the chef of Teak restaurant. A very nice guy who invited us in to take some photos. We wish we could have tried the food but we still full from the giant burgers. There is also a café and a tackle shop for fishing as well. A spa beach bistro sits on the beginning of the pier if you are looking to save a little cash. The pier is also perfectly located to downtown St. Pete so there’s plenty of other things around to see and do.

There’s a huge playground and splash pad for the children and a small beach right next to the pier. Here’s a link to their website for more information: stpetepier.org
