Sooner or later you are going to go to a place that’s a bit of a disappointment. The museum though is under construction and they are adding more galleries and should be completed in November we we’re told. The loud noises of construction and the small amount of artwork was disappointing but what they did have was very nice.

I especially enjoyed the small Roman and Greek ancient artifacts gallery and the outside gallery by French artist Dominique Labouvie. The good news is that this place is always changing and we were able to get free admission due to being a disabled veteran. We will give it another try when the construction is completed. Stay tuned for an update on this one. Website address is tampamuseun.org and it’s best to check what is being displayed before you go. Thankfully this is just off the Tampa River walk so lots to do once you’ve spent an hour or two at the museum.
