5/10/24 We spend day 3 of our 3 day pass at Universals Islands of Adventure. This was even better then the original park where we spent the first 2 days. the park is a little smaller and can be done in one full day which is nice, although you may want to spend even more time at this park. The themes here include a Marvel Comics world, Jurassic Park, Dr. Seuss, Harry Potter, as well as a section for those old newspaper comics we all love.

Marvel World was my favorite part of this journey and if you ever seen my office you would know why. The spider man ride for me was the highlight of this part. It is a ride simulator with 3D effects. Very realistic and putting you into the action as Spidey battles some of his famous villains. You follow Spidey through a city and underground narrowly avoiding the attacks of Doc Oc and others. Lots of fun for all ages. We avoided the Hulk coaster and Dr. Doom freefall as my wife will not ride them and is too scared for me to ride also. The coaster is pictured and looks like a lot of fun. We also had fun just going into the shops here for some unique Marvel items. After it was onto Jurassic Park.

This part of the park included the King Kong ride and I have to say it was one of the best rides in the park. You get close up to the giant Kong as you race through the ride (simulator). Again these may be simulated but they are extremely realistic. Quennie was screaming and laughing the whole time. 2 small kids kept asking if King Kong was real. We also rode the Jurassic Park River Adventure ride. Be prepared to get wet on this one as the final drop is significant. There is also a small park for the kids in this section of the park. A place for them to climb around and even shoot water cannons at each other. Looks like a lot of fun for the young ones.

Onto the wizarding world of Harry Potter. We enjoyed this section of the park for the ascetics. You can see a lot of work was put into this place. The Hogwarts castle scenery is awesome as well as the town in this area. We did not ride any rides in this area of the park but they do have a few available like Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure and the Flight of the Hippogriff. We are just not big fans of the Harry Potter story but if you are I am sure you and your children will love these features.

Last on our circle around the park was the world of Dr. Seuss. These rides were more Quennie’s pace and really geared for small children. Although still enjoyable for adults especially those who grew up reading the books as children. We enjoyed the Cat in the Hat ride best in this part of the park and we also went on the train ride. Sights and features of this section are great for photography lovers and we are sure you can create some nice memories all over Islands of Adventure.

We hope you enjoy this park as much as we did.
